Buying a painting

The price shown is for the painting itself. Payment is taken by Stripe; I never see your card details. Delivery is arranged personally after purchase and quoted separately, because a painting this heavy travels differently to different places.

A deposit reserves a piece and takes it off sale. The balance is settled directly between us, and the deposit counts towards the price.

If you buy as a consumer you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of the painting arriving, for a full refund. Return shipping of a large work is at cost. It is a heavy object; look at the dimensions before buying.

The work shown

Images on this site are of original paintings and of work in progress. Colour on a screen is never the colour of thick acrylic in daylight, and a photograph flattens a surface that is the entire point of the work. Treat what you see as an indication.

Enquiries and quotes

Nothing on this site is an offer or a price. Every project and every commission is quoted individually in writing, and only a written quote from me is binding. Timescales given here are typical rather than promised, and the real one comes with the quote.

Sending an enquiry does not commit you to anything, and it does not commit me to taking the work on.

Photographs you send me

If you send a photograph of a space, you are confirming you are allowed to share it. I use it to understand the space and to answer you. I will not publish it, or any part of it, without asking you first.

Copyright

The paintings, the photographs of them, and the words on this site are mine. Buying a painting buys the painting, not the right to reproduce it commercially.

Share and post images of the work by all means. Credit is appreciated.

This site

I keep it accurate and available, but I cannot promise it is either at every moment. It is a website made by one painter, not a piece of critical infrastructure.
