I trained as a painter and took a Masters in Fine Art, where the work became about pushing an idea until it broke. Taking a material or a premise as far as it would go, and looking at what was left.

The painting I make now is the same question in physical form. How much paint can a canvas hold. What happens at the edge, where it folds and starts to fall. When does a painting stop being an image and become an object.

The process is the work.

Each piece is built in layers over weeks, and the making is documented as it happens. I work between two studios, one in the United Kingdom and one in Antigua.
